1. All blood and body fluid samples should be placed in well-structured containers with safety lids to prevent leakage during transportation.

2. When collecting and transferring specimens, the appearance of the container or the inspection sheet accompanying the specimens should be prevented from being contaminated. If there is potential or actual contamination, an additional layer of packaging (for example: packaging bag) should be added. All specimens should be labeled with biohazard.

3. Workers should wear gloves when handling all blood, body fluids and other potentially infectious substances, collecting blood, and handling contaminated items. If splashing of blood or body fluids is likely to occur, face protection equipment should be used.

4. The operations that produce fumes or droplets, including mixing, ultrasonic atomization and vigorous stirring, should use a biological safety cabinet.

5. The laboratory should use mechanical pipetting devices, and it is absolutely forbidden to pipette by mouth.

6. The container for disposing of sharp objects should not be overfilled and accidentally injured, and should be transported away as soon as possible after being filled.

7. After leakage of blood or other body fluids or the end of work, appropriate chemical fungicides should be used to disinfect the surface of the laboratory work area. Use freshly prepared bleach solution (sodium hypochlorite 1:10 dilution) or other effective solutions to disinfect all workbenches. The bleaching powder solution should act for at least 15 minutes. For other disinfectants, please refer to the product instructions.

8. The equipment contaminated by blood or other body fluids should be cleaned and disinfected before being repaired in the laboratory or sent to the merchant. Equipment that cannot be thoroughly disinfected must be labeled as biohazard.

9. The skin of hands or other parts must be cleaned immediately after contact with blood or other body fluids, and hands should be washed immediately after the end of the experiment or after taking off the gloves. All personal protective equipment should be taken off before leaving the laboratory.

10. Inspectors suffering from exudative skin lesions shall not directly touch the patient or medical equipment before recovery.
